As previously noted by In A Flash and the Employer’s Advisor, in 2010, the WSIB introduced and implemented significant interim policy initiatives with respect to the former Labour Market Re-Entry program, and changes to the NEER Policies. Following their implementation, the WSIB undertook a significant review of the policies including a consultation process with its stakeholders.
On July 15, 2011 the final Work Reintegration and NEER Policies took effect.
Further, the WSIB has also indicated that Employers will face an increase in premiums starting in 2012.
