Mathews Dinsdale’s Articling Program is designed to maximize your exposure to all aspects of workplace law. As part of the education process, our Firm divides the articling term into two rotations. Articling students spend two-thirds of their articling period working with lawyers in the Labour Relations Practice Group, and one-third of their articling period working with lawyers in the Employment Law and Litigation Practice Group.
Mathews Dinsdale provides its summer and articling students with a comprehensive salary and benefits package that is competitive with other major Canadian law firms. For articling students, salary is paid during the prescribed study period for the Barrister and Solicitor Examinations.
Interviews for articling positions are conducted in accordance with the procedures and guidelines of the provincial law societies in which our offices are based.
Depending on your office of interest, please refer to:
Toronto: The Law Society of Upper Canada
Vancouver: The Vancouver Bar Association
Calgary: The Law Society of Alberta
Halifax: There are no set guidelines for the articling recruitment process in the Atlantic region.
