Alberta’s workplace laws have changed and your workplace policies and procedures need to change too.  The new laws are in force and further changes are to be implemented in January 2018.  From new types of leaves and changing eligibility requirements, to overtime averaging agreements, to first collective agreement arbitration, to new general holiday pay rules, and much more, the changes are wide-sweeping and are being rapidly implemented.  You, as an Alberta employer, need to be up to speed on the new rules and learn how you can best adapt to the new landscape and effectively manage risk.  What do these changes mean for your business and workforce?  Our team of Alberta employment and labour lawyers will explain the impacts and provide the information you need to know.

We will also include a discussion on marijuana in the workplace.  Medical marijuana prescriptions are becoming increasingly common and legalized recreational marijuana is on the way.  Join us to discuss best practices and participate in a Q & A session with our panel.

Lunch will be served so bring an appetite!
