On June 30, 2008, the Ontario Human Rights Code Amendment Act 2006 will come into force. On this date, the Human Rights Commission will no longer be responsible for receiving human rights complaints. Rather, all claims under the Human Rights Code will be dealt with directly by the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario (the “Tribunal”).
In preparation for this change in Ontario’s Human Rights System, the Tribunal has launched a new website, as well as new Rules of Procedure (which can be found on the Tribunal’s new website).
